About the Event

The Canandaigua Treaty Commemoration Recognizes Sovereignty, Peace, and Friendship Between Nations.

This year's 226th anniversary of the historic, federal Canandaigua Treaty of 1794 will be privately celebrated and virtually shared, in accordance with pandemic guidelines and to ensure our communities safety. Shared virtually on "Ganondagan State Historic Site" - Facebook Live, join our friends at Ganondagan virtually through facebook, or by clicking here to be brought to their website.

A small Quaker community built a simple meetinghouse in rural western New York - and from that vantage point witnessed (and often led) reform movements that changed democracy in nineteenth century America.
