About the Event
Lillian Williams, Associate Professor and former Department Chair of African-American Studies at the University of Buffalo, will speak on Mary Talbert. An African-American suffragist and early 20th Century reformer, Talbert was President of the National Association of Colored Women's Clubs and led the NAACP's anti-lynching campaign.
In compliance with New York State COVID-19 guidelines, this event will be held in an outside area of the Sonnenberg Gardens (the wedding tent) with socially distanced seating arranged. For the health and safety of all, attendees are requested to wear masks.
